I have to say, I really like Shailene ’s character-she’s pretty intriguing. I couldn’t go on the internet the other day because everybody was like, Oh my god.
I’m not caught up I have two episodes left.
What TV shows have been keeping you up at night?īig Little Lies. It’s all factual, but the way it’s written it almost feels like you’re traveling back in time. Matthew Green, that’s a history of London, which I picked up because I’m an Anglophile. I have another book, London: A Travel Guide through Time, by Dr. I’m a couple chapters in and it’s cracking me up. Kelly Oxford, who’s a friend of mine, sent me her new book. What are the books on bedside table right now, or that you brought with you on tour? I’m usually looking at my phone to make sure I don’t have any pressing work things, and then I scroll through Instagram as I’m drinking my coffee. The first thing I usually do is get up at six to take my daughter to school. What’s the first thing you read in the morning? It’s really nice be able to have music out there quickly. Now I don’t have to travel the country to set up a record anymore and you can just stream everything. I used to have to go out on a national radio tour for, like, six months before an album came out. Of course, to be on tour and play and be out again is really exciting, but it’s different-radio has definitely changed. I have this fantastic group of hardcore fans who’ve been waiting for this album for so long, and to know that they’re actually going to have music in their hands is probably the most exciting thing for me. What’s been most striking about putting an album out now, versus 14 years ago? Before heading back on the road on tour, Branch shared what she’s been into lately (_Big Little Lie_s, check) with her culture diet, here. Now that it’s out, Branch, who’s kept busy with a move to Nashville and Trump protests with her 11-year-old daughter, is back to fielding marriage proposals from her legions of devoted fans. Branch has been trying to release an album ever since 2003’s Hotel Paper, but has been caught up in the prison of her former record label-one she finally escaped thanks in part to a chance encounter with the Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney, who offered to produce Branch’s fourth record and foot the bill. “It’s been a long time coming,” Branch said of Hopeless Romantic in the days leading up the gig. She also shares 16-year-old daughter Owen with her first husband Teddy Landau.“I am so f-ing happy right now,” Michelle Branch said on Friday night in New York, after performing “Are You Happy Now?”, her hit early aughts song, at the record release show for her first album in 14 years. Made an incredible meal and sang Christmas songs snuggled up by a roaring fire.”īranch and Carney got engaged in 2017 and welcomed their first child together, Rhys in 2018. “But alas, between the crying and binge eating of Christmas cookies, I decided to put on lipstick and a dress,” she said. She noted that she was finding comfort and pushing through her heartbreak by celebrating the holidays with her family. And to further twist a dagger in my heart, I experienced my first miscarriage…”
A bomb went off in downtown Nashville yesterday. “December decided to really finish us off with a bang! No, literally. “Just when we were rounding third and heading home (A baseball metaphor?! I know.) 2020 was like, ‘nah, I ain’t done yet,’” she said. The “Everywhere” songstress previously revealed that she suffered her first miscarriage.
She announced the news with a photo of literal buns cooking in her over. “Hello, pregnancy after miscarriage anyone?!” she wrote, adding that their new addition is due in early 2022. “Woke up to a picture my friend Sonya sent of scones she was eating in England and I immediately had to hop out of bed and make a batch myself,” she wrote, adding that her husband, Patrick Carney, was her “hero” for going in search for some double cream at the store.īranch said she “couldn’t be more excited” to welcome her third child - her second with the Black Keys drummer - but was also very nervous. “You know you’re pregnant when…” the 38-year-old singer - who suffered a miscarriage in December - began in an Instagram caption alongside photos of herself baking scones. Michelle Branch is pregnant with her third child, announcing the happy news by putting literal buns in her oven.
